The series currently comprises nine books, all in various stages of completion:

- Findo Gask - Dragon Sleuth: eight chapters are now ready for review.
- Findo Gask - Moonlight Shamus: just a placeholder at present.
- Findo Gask - Deadly Enchantment: a draft of ten chapters is now available for review.
- Findo Gask - Sherlock Eclipse: just a placeholder at present.
Most of the characters in the novels are based on place names in the Perth and Kinross region of Scotland, many of them close to the tiny village of Findo Gask.
St. Madoes is a village in the Carse of Gowrie in Scotland. It has a single local shop and two parks.
The village of St Madoes lies near Errol, five miles east of the centre of Perth. To its south is the River Tay, while immediately to its north is the A90 dual carriageway.
The settlement is believed to have been founded by Saint Madoch.
