Tighe o'Chill

Rotund and occasionally foul-mouthed proprietor of Chill's Bar in New York, where Findo Gask once located his brother Nether Gask.

His granddaughter is Rosie o'Chill.

Most of the characters in the novels are based on place names in the Perth and Kinross region of Scotland, many of them close to the tiny village of Findo Gask.

Tigh-na Blair is a settlement near Comrie, Perthshire.

Rossie Ochil House is an elegant country house situated on a working estate in the rolling Ochil Hills of rural Perthshire.
